Because of some changes in Vimeo API, the current version of my Vimeo for Windows application and Vimeo for Windows Uploader, may not work. I’m working on a fix, but don’t expect anything soon.

Installation notes:

It’s a ClickOnce package, which means you don’t need to worry about any prerequisites, it will download and install them automatically. It also means that it will be installed in an isolated place, and you can remove it whenever you want with a single click from Add/Remove Programs dialog.

I'm an XNA Game Developer. More than a year ago, after announcing that zune is going to support XNA, I bought a zune 4GB and downloaded XNA 3.0 beta and began writing games for it...

I was a proud zune owner, and I loved my zune, and the zune software (even though I don't understand why Microsoft's awesome WMP has an awesome sync option that supports everything but Microsoft's own MP3 Player)

anyway, after a week of owning a beautiful zune, I went to a trip, zune was in my pocket with fully charged battery, I was listening to some tunes, and suddenly the music stopped. I thought maybe the headphone got unplugged. I reached into my pocket and pulled my zune out.

The screen was black. It was blank. None of the special magical combinations worked (reboot, reset, format, bla bla bla).

I was shocked. I told myself it's gonna be fine, I plugged it into my laptop and started the zune software. it didn't recognize my zune but instead a balloon-tip from the taskbar (the one from that "Found new hardware" dude) was saying it's looking for a "Freescale semiconductor, inc" (something like that) driver. (if anyone is interested, I can post screenshots of this message and how this weird device looks like in my Device Manager, but I don't think anybody gives a damn.)

This means the device isn't dead. it's in a coma!

It's been a year now, every couple of weeks I plug it into my computer (for fun) and I keep seeing this message.

I'm not expecting a solution, I was just sharing my story.

Whatever the problem was, it was my own fault, because I bought a US-Only device in a country that has no good relations with the US, so technically it had no warranty. Thank god I didn't pay for a zune 80!

Alright. ‘nuff said. now you can go ahead and make your choice. but remember, I’m not the only one with a dead zune. Bing, read reviews and then decide.

Vimeo for Windows goes Alpha. It’s no longer WPF based, but it has more features than it’s WPF-based demo versions. There are still many features need to be implemented like

• Reading and replying to comments 
• Vimeo for Windows Theatre (Blows your mind!)
• Watch list
• Uploader integration
• and oAuth.

1. Dial Button:

If you press and hold the Manual Dial Button for a few seconds, a shortcut menu will appear and you can quickly change the functionality of the Manual Dial. Pressing the Dial Button toggles the Auto/Manual state of the selected functionality.

2. Steadyshot:

There are Three Steadyshot modes available in this camcorder:

• Off: Use it only if you want to shoot a shaky video.
• Standard: Optical Steadyshot; You’ll get steady footage with the highest quality.
• Active Mode: Optical+Digital Steadyshot; Gives you a more steady footage, but you’ll get crap if you move or pan your camera too fast.

Bottom line: Never use Active Mode if you’re gonna move a lot.

3. Volume:

If you’re using headphones while shooting, you can adjust the output volume with the Volume option in Home>Settings>Sound/Disp Set menu.

4. SMTH SLW (Smooth Slow) Timing:

You can set the timing for Smooth Slow record to 3 seconds After or 3 seconds Before pressing the record button.

5: 4:3 Video:

You can shoot 4:3 footage by switching to SD mode and then choosing 4:3 from the Wide Select menu.

6. x.v. Color:

This camcorder can shoot videos using x.v. Color, but some formats doesn’t support x.v. Color, so pay attention to the format you’re gonna encode your videos with.

7. “Low Lux” Mode:

Try not to use this mode, because you’ll get so much noise, and noise is baaaaaaaaaaaad!

8. Smile Shutter:

Smile Shutter is a fun feature, but it gets annoying sometimes. Try to decrease it’s sensitivity or turn it off if you don’t need it. You can customize Smile Shutter from the Home>Settings>Face Func. Set menu.

9. Photo quality:

Try not to take photos while you’re shooting video if you want a high quality photo.

10. “FACE”:

You can easily find people in your videos by using the FACE function. it is located in Home>View Images
